Abstract

Education is essential for women's welfare, progress, prosperity, and empowerment. Women are known to be discriminated against from conception to death. Women need to be given more influence in all areas of life since they are still vulnerable and face discrimination in every industry. To battle against the socially built orientation inclinations, ladies need to swim against the framework, which calls for greater strength. The approach of empowerment yields such strength, and education can lead to empowerment. This investigation seeks to raise consciousness among women about various forms of empowerment and the role that education plays in empowering women in general, in the Karachi central district. A structured survey was used as a data collection method in this study. This inspection is descriptive and concentrates on the Central district of Karachi, Pakistan. Data was gathered from 315 women respondents aged 18 to 55 through convenience sampling. Besides demographic questions, the research instrument also inquiries about different types of empowerments like; psychological, educational, economic, and social empowerment. The empiricalĀ findings indicate that women's empowerment is significantly influenced by educational attainment, and it comes to the conclusion that education is a prerequisite to achieve women's empowerment. Policymakers need to improve access to education for women by emphasizing scholarships, creating safe learning environments, and offering vocational training in order to attain economic independence and enhance social mobility by empowering women through education.
